Why? Is the basis for the argument not accurate?

he let Clemson and Temple play an absolute worthless game there this year. There was talk of Tar Heels/Gamecocks game there, so I don't see why he wouldn't allow the ACC championship.

ps: dont forget to send in your money for Panther playoff tickets :handbang:

Why do they want so much that nobody will pay it? Do they not realize that less than asking is still greater than nothing or do they just not want it to be used at all.

It sucks for the city regardless.

I guess it sucks for you guys, but that's part of the business. And it doesn't especially sound like they want the bowl, which is fine with me. They can't be forced to do it.

so really, really cheap real estate is the same as constructing a quarter billion dollar property? If all the city had to do to get the Bobcats arena built, free of their assistance, was essentially give land, nobody would've given a shit.

The Panthers got about $50 million dollars in public assistance to build the stadium, and use city resources every time they play a home game. I'm not arguing that Jerry Richardson has to let them play the game there, just that he's an asshat for not doing so.

what type of assistance? Just land and tax breaks, I'd thought. In that situation, that's certainly not the same at all as "hey, build me a fucking stadium."
