That'd be a terrible decision to hire Tommy Bowden. He's been at Clemson for 7 years, has no division or conference titles. He can't break through there and they always trip up in a game or two that they should definitely win. They should have won the ACC this year cause Miami and FSU were down and VT was in the other division behind GT. Korn could play as a true freshman but having a true freshman play is a nightmare no matter how good they are they are going to go through growing pains.

Who are the Bama Faithful zeroed in on now? Haven't heard any names other than Johnson lately.

Yesterday it was Tommy Bowden. This morning it's Jim Haslett.

Didn't you also see where he came out the next day, said he had sat down with Bowden, gone over the stats, and realized that he was being a big baby? Ever since he came to Clemson people have been trying to make him out as unhappy. Truth is, he's the reason Spiller chose Clemson. He's just a young guy who hasn't realized how and when to voice his frustrations. As for the Merriweather comments, I agree whole heartedly. That was what I was most upset with after the game. Reggie got the whole Clemson crowd back into the game. He was so pumped up. I really don't think he could have been stopped. But, Bowden wanted to give Davis the opportunity to be the hero.

Didn't see that. Davis is a great back. He just needs to realize that things won't always go his way. Talk to the coaches...not the media.

And I was VERY happy Bowden yanked Merriweather. He was PUMPED...and had the team and crowd back in it as well. Honestly, I couldn't believe when he was pulled. I was sitting with a ton of Clemson fans. They were pissed.

By the way...CNNSI.com is now talking about Bowden to Bama...still VERY much a rumor and nothing more. This'll never happen.

I was one of those pissed fans. When Bowden took him out, I predicted the exact ending. Reggie isn't the most talented back on the team, but he always plays with a ton of heart. He carried the whole team a couple of years ago, which is why he is such a crowd favorite.

It wouldn't bother me a bit to see Bowden go to Bama. I still don't think it's going to happen though.

By the way...Dwight Clark came in my office yesterday. VERY cool guy. I talked a bit of USC smack to him...he thinks the world of Spurrier. Isn't a big Bowden fan...but he's a total Tiger.

I love Dwight! I've only been around him a couple of time, but he seems like such a genuine guy. Honestly, I don't know many people who are big Bowden fans. Maybe the members of his church.

My best friend went to Clemson (as did my sister and brother in law). He emailed me today saying he hoped the Bowden rumors were TRUE!

Clark's a great guy, but I'm glad he's not a part of the Panthers organization, as far as dealing with personnel anyway. If he wanted to be an operations guy or other type executive, he'd be great.
