    It will be interesting to see if Clemson is willing to pony up more $ for Tommy. I'm not sure they will. I still can't see why Bama would go for a mediocre coach like Bowden. Clemson has given him everything he has asked for, and in his 7th year with a talented team, we still only beat 2 teams with a winning record.

    Bowden has probably been a bit of an underacheiver at Klempson. This year, they were close but seemed to falter everytime it was a big game. Tigers need a QB to make it to another level. They feel like they have one on the way in Korn. Bowden will stay at Klempson and be safe because he will beat South Carolina more often than not.

    Right...this was Clemson's YEAR. They are losing 4 starting OL's and will start either a freshman QB OR a guy so awful he couldn't beat out Will Proctor.

    The team Spurrier had this year was VERY young (18 returning starters next year) and was really hurting in a lot of areas. The Gamecocks should be much better next year. Clemson will be much worse.

    You know about the whole James Davis mess, right? :xyxwave:

    He's bitching about the coaching staff not giving him enough carries. Said there's no consistency and he needs to have a meeting with them about how he's used. Also was pissed off that they pulled Merriweather out of the USC game when he was the only back that had been able to do anything.

    Basically he said a LOT of stupid shit about his coaches to the media.

    It was in most SC papers. Big article.
