I wonder just how much power Fox has, and if he has the authority that I would assume he's got then maybe he is too soft (on other staff especially)
. . . Too much of a nice guy maybe?

    I dunno

anybody have insight of this topic?

Fox bailed us out of hell. You don't turn your back on that.

If anyone has any doubt about that, see Bill Cowher. I would kinda like to be the team that keeps it's coach for 10+ years. Andy Reid's team sucked last year, and he got a pass. Cowher has had a few losing/.500 seasons. It happens.

By the way: I heard we have a game on Sunday.....and get this: we have two more after that! NEAT!

I'll readily agree with that. But some assistants are not getting it done. Though I've conceded Maser's done a good job this year, I wouldn't be opposed to change there. Crossman, Flajoles and Sunseri are reasonable candidates to be replaced as well.

I think it's time for Fox to view this team as he did when he first got here. Whoever doesn't measure up, seeya.

I'm not opposed to Henning taking a permanent vacation. And it's not for calling a draw on 3rd and 8. I just think we could use an overall change in the way the offense is, well, coordinated.

Well well, FSF, seems to me that there has been a change within you. ;)

I never wrote love novels about Dan Henning. I never hated the guy either. Still don't. But it might just be time.

    Coaches approval ratings from ESPN.com:
    26%
    Team: Carolina Panthers
    Record: 6-7
    Votes: 298 Giants 27, Panthers 13
So if Jake Delhomme wasn't the problem, what's really wrong with the Panthers? With their heavily-criticized quarterback on the sideline with an injury, the Panthers lost a crucial home game against the Giants on Sunday, putting their postseason hopes in serious jeopardy with a third consecutive loss. The Giants shut down Carolina's running game, holding the Panthers well under triple digits in yards on the ground, forcing backup quarterback Chris Weinke to beat them. Weinke wasn't bad, connecting five times for 116 yards and a touchdown with Drew Carter, but he also threw an interception and wasn't able to spark the Panthers when the Giants made their move in the third quarter. And Carolina's vaunted defense again look pedestrian, allowing Tiki Barber to pile up yards on the ground while finishing without a single turnover despite playing against enigmatic Eli Manning. Is this a .500 team? It's starting to look that way.Vote

    26%?? Holy crap! :saywhat:

Never thought I'd see the day when Fox's approval ratings were worse than Dubya's. :thud:
