We need a special teams coach, a healthy OL and a real starting RB and we will return to the NFC Championship and Superbowl almost immediatly. The talent is there.

Henning isn't the one pass protecting, running the ball, throwing high or dropping passes.

anyone that wants to rag on the defense needs to get a clue.......the 4 out and special teams situation is killing our defense.

    probobly only if JR asks.
The O is poorly coached right now, and the gameplans all seem the same. I'm not calling for DH to go, but there's a little problem here. If we can improve at a number of other places, this isn't sacred either.

fine here. 3rd on the list should be Ciurciu. That lack of depth and options hurt us bigtime.
Hope the "assistant" is Maser. Even then, that would concern me that we'd draft Butler. I'm still concerned about that move keeping us from getting a good tackle.

dammit, Yas. Nice work helping breed quitter fans, we have enough already. There aren't four months for people to suddenly act like a player they saw in an article is their favorite player on the field?

The draft comes after most free agents have been signed. If we were going to get a tackle we would have done it before then, and we had a number of posters suggesting it. And talking about the draft is not "quitting." I was already burning college games and writing down which players I wanted to look at back when we still had visions of the Super Bowl.

This has not been talked about enough. IMO we are lacking in evaluating talent and maybe that is one of the main reasons the panthers are not looking very good on game day.

Gross = definitely hasn't lived up to his high draft pickage. Decent RT but still haven't acquired a good LT
Mathis = slow in developing and we should have better at RG by now
    K. Johnson = He's lost too much to be a solid #2 and this is not looking like the good FA pickup that most here anticipated it would be. STILL will need a #2 next year
TE = we haven't acquired much there either . .. hopefully this King kid will end up being a bit of an upgrade but I doubt it
QB = should have upgraded Weinke a long time ago and our staff has let Jake slide into a bog of bad habits (but he IS capable and one of our best acquisitions)

I'll stop with the O for now but the point is Fox apparently ain't no Jimmy Johnson when it comes to talent evaluation

I want to nip this notion in the bud as I've seen a couple of people saying as much and would prefer not to see it develop into a full blown epidemic. Not only is Keyshawn good enough to be a solid #2, he's still an above average receiver. Maybe you're confused because you didn't know what he was, but he hasn't been fast or created separation in years. What he does is to run price routes, use his body very well to shield defenders, and make spectacular catches. He's had some disappointing drops this season, but he's had even more receptions that had no business being caught.
I'm fine with upgrading the QB coaching, but Jake's bad habits are the same ones he's had since Day 1. Also, he was one of our best acquisitions when we got him for $2 million a year, but he's not right now when he's caring a huge salary cap charge.

I do agree that we could have extended jake for less. It's my impression that our FO is a bit financially retarded and tends to pay too much for some and nickel and dime others into going elsewhere

as for Key, sorry but I'm off his bandwagon and will continue the hate. He seems to have choked more often than not in the second half of this season when we have needed him the most.

I generally agree, but I think it's more about popularity than anything else. Delhomme and Morgan were both very popular players at the time, while Witherspoon was not. We also tend to spend more in years where the fans and media are harboring Super Bowl aspirations (i.e. Kemoeatu *sigh*).
