    Bullshit. It was on ESPN, al.com, Finebaum was reporting it on his radio show in Alabama. It was fucking everywhere. How fast we forget...

    find one link that said spurrier was signed. there were plenty about offers and meetings but not one about him signing.

    Probably the safest move the Pack could have made. He has a proven track record and can come now. Jimbo Fisher would have a great hire but the Pack could not afford to wait for when he was available. Paul Johnson would have been a great hire too, don't know exactly the Pack brass took Obrien over Johnson. Good Luck to the Pack!

    Obviously they WERE rumors. But some said it happened. Hell, one radio station in Birmingham (I think JOX) was stating the Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Dep't had been contacted to provide an escort from the airport for the press conference last Wednesday.
