QB's from teams .500 or better and how theyre performing in crunch time. For any of the mentally challenged on the board, note that Delhomme is only better than Vick and Grossman in this "selective" comparison.

are any of these teams "struggling"? So therefore you were unable to show the criteria he requested.

QB rating, first 10 throws: 86.3
    2nd 10: 76.7
    3rd 10: 84.3
    more than 30: 58.8

We're not getting enough running. Our lack of commitment to the run has hurt us and that was one point Thelt stated. If you extend attempts out to a full year, it'd be the fewest attempts in the Fox era.

29 sacks extrapolates to 39 sacks - most since 02.

Struggling or not, we are at .500, which is the minimum record I used. You think a comparison between Jake and a three win team is more applicable? Last I checked, we're trying to make the playoffs.

I think the thumb injury is a bit of both a legit injury and a little bit of a confidence hit. Hence this snippet from Fox's Foxhole:

On how hard Delhomme took the loss to Philadelphia: I think everyone in that lockerroom took that loss hard. It's unfortunate that the quarterback and the head coach get to go talk to the media (after a game), but we are the ones that are out there. But it everybody in that lockerroom was disappointed.

On what he talked to Delhomme about after the loss to Washington two weeks ago: It had nothing to do with assurance. I reminded him in this business we are under attack. That's why we're compensated. No matter how hard or what kind of facade you put up, if you're human it bothers you. It had nothing to do with any assurance. It was just to cheer him up with all of the criticism he was taking. That's tough on any person.

On if the criticism of Delhomme is fair: It's what we do. We chose it. Nobody made us do it, so it comes with the territory. But there is still a human element in this, and that was more of encouragement than it was assurance.

he asked for teams that were struggling.

And nice job ignoring my stats, since you'd asked for them.

I'm wondering if this injury might have something to do with his accuracy being so up and down (mostly down) this year. Obviously it's not making him throw up prayers into triple coverage, but his passes have been sailing on him badly this year and a weak grip might be causing it. :newsmile54:

If Thelt considers us to be "stuggling" at 6-6, then 3 other Qb's on that list are on teams that are "struggling", because they find themselves at 6-6 as well. Additionally, 5 other Qb's, whose teams are at 7-5, are one game away from "struggling".

Great job on finding some stats, theyre just not relevant to what Im saying, or what the numbers are. The point is, all QB's on that list, cept for 2 of them, are better than JD in the crunch.

This kinda sounds like Fox is almost ready to make a change. Not assuring Jake his position is what he's implying, right?

KURT WARNER comes to mind damnit

Favre popped in there too, and Jake is neither but my point would be that didn't both of them start downward spirals of suckage with injuries to their throwing thumbs . . .

maybe it's the recent negative Ju JU but with all the talk of benching Delhomme for Weinke it just might happen out of necessity.
If Jake continues to play regardless of having a bum thumb that could be bad news.

Even elite QBs can't effectively get the job done with a bad thumb

I'd rather let the damn Weinkster have a start if Jake is going to have to add a dumb thumb to his struggles
