What's your take on it? Legit bang-up, or is this a "shake up" in practice?

    YAZ update:

Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme sat out Wednesday's practice with what he and team officials said was a sprained right thumb, and he's questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.
However, a league source said Delhomme has a partially torn ligament in the thumb and chances of him playing are not good.
Coach John Fox said Delhomme's status will be day-to-day. Backup Chris Weinke worked with the first team at Wednesday's practice.
Delhomme suffered the injury to his throwing hand in the first quarter of Monday's loss to Philadelphia.

I think his tumb is legit, tho prolly not bad (oops, post above while reading, maybe possibly not good), still, IMO, they sat him to rest for two reasons.

    1. obviously to let jake rest his thumb even if it's relatively very small injury.

2.to look at wienke and give him reps in case jake fuks up some more like this week. they'll know what kinda shape weinke is in, and make him better by practicing with the first team should they pull the trigger. It might make their thought processes better, knowing weinke has practiced this week with them and how he performed, and might have less hesitation about pulling the trigger in the right situation.

It's prolly good for all parties involved. JD, Fox, henning, CW and the O in general.

Smith needs to be practicing fielding punts. Gamble ain't a returner and we need one desperately, and smith has looked very rusty back on the job.

OK, if wienke starts and plays, then folks wanting CW, or benching jake, will either just the fuk up if CW fails, or it'll be a very hot topic the next week if he plays well- and we win.

IMO, it's legit, no shakeup..It looked a little discolored in locker room today, but that could be for a variety of reasons. If Yasinskas' "league source" is accurate, that could be the reason for the color....kinda yellowish, like a bruise.

My guess is he is going to play, but likely won't take many snaps this week, if any.

Agree with Coach. Its a short week, and it looks like that sat anyone who could use an extra day of recovery. I really don't think they would shake it up at this point. Maybe later.

But even though legit, its very convenient.

Romo hasn't started 12 games. That must have Bledsoe's rating included.
