I swear the NCSU coaching job is almost funnier than the BBall job.

if miami football was shit, they'd get shit recruits. Even with other schools stealing talent away, and the added academic restrictions that were installed purely to get away from thug players, miami still gets good recruiting classes.

Right now the hype is on Leach from TT to be the next coach. His offense combined with Miami recruits would be sick.

The Miami Program is in decline regardless who they get to take over. The last two recruiting classes were not up to past standards. They have been unable to get a good QB, and they have over the last 3-5 years started to lose some recruits that they were certain they could get.

As for the Pack, Johnson has again emerged as the leader of the rumor mill race.

Chow's negative is his age and recruiting. Johnson's negative is no one is sure if he can recruit and compete at a hirer level with the offense he runs. Fisher's negative is that he's never run a D-1 program.

If its me I take a shot at Fisher. He's the biggest risk, but may also be the biggest reward. Solid recruiter. Very good mind for offense.

again, that's because they upped the standards to try to get away from the thug image. Coker ran a clean program and had talent go to schools they could get into.

Then why was the rumor that Richt was considering Miami due to academic restrictions at Georgia vs. Miami? The chatter was it would be much easier for him to get in some marginal types at Da U than Georgia...

Hell, maybe that was just the uninformed talking...

I agree, Fisher is the wildcard of the bunch. He could be another Stoops or Rodriquez. The thing that has Wolpack Nation high on Johnson is his North Carolina roots, his ability to run a quality offense (he runs it at Navy, he threw it when he was OC at Hawaii ), and his reputation as a guy who runs a good program with no BS. Johnson is a Polar opposite of Amato. Kragthorpe's name is popping up just like it did at Carolina. Again, I agree that Fisher could be a great hire.

I think Chow's biggest negative is the fact that he hasn't been a head coach. I think he's younger than Spurrier. But yeah, I'm thinking Fisher might be the best move.
