I think Chuck Howard knew this was coming. He briefly alluded to an opening coming up in the Charlotte market a week or two ago when he hosted MSP with Celania.

I'll miss Harold Johnson. Thanks for posting the video links, it was kinda sad to watch :(

very true...TWC does have great benefits, but Trace is right, they don't pay the bills (but they do eliminate others).

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    1) Home the Dragon is going to miss him: For years, when WSOC had a billboard at Knights Castle and Homer came out on the field for the 1st time on his ATV, he would circle the outfield and stop at the WSOC ad. He would throw his bat at Harold Johnson before he made his way back to home plate. Classic :) !!!!!!!

    2) Hmmmm, WCNC & WSOC are both looking for new sports directors. Chuck Howard is still in town. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, when does Chuck no compete clause end :) ? End of the year or was it null & void after he got fired? Who will hire their guy first?

    3) Hoopsradio: Are you interested in the job?

    4) Would Jim Celania come out of retirement to work at WSOC? Yeah right :D :D !!!!!!!!!!

HJ sucked. What kind of person makes people call him "Big Guy". And he did like to make people call him that.

I was around this clown a lot in the early 90's when I worked for the Hornets while in college and he is a jerk. Not to mention he knew next to nothing about sports.

The problem with local sports guys is that they are the only ones that don't realize how obsolete they are now that we have the espn's and the internet.

Who tunes in at 11:25 to get the 6th inning score of a baseball game that ended an hour earlier?
