I don't drink it to get drunk. just to get that little buzz going. mixes well with the hitter and/or bushmills.

yeah, had chimay white on tap all over. The reserve's awesome. Another quadruple, Sint Bernardus Abbot 12, is another belgian that knocks you on your ass.

Ruination is an awesome pale. I'd kill a hobo to get a shot at Double Bastard.
yeah, there's a big disparity there between Saranac and everything else on the FX Matt bill. Didn't they brew Utica Club?

No premiere on the bottle. I'm in DC tonight, prices tend to be a little inflated here. Good stuff though.

blue bottle. Which is actually the grand reserve. Don't know why I mistook it with the low one on the chain, the red.

yeah, belgians can be expensive. They're worth it though...it's almost like they sprinkle crack in it. One I really dig that I haven't talked about is the Delirium line - the Tremens is an awesome pale belgian and their Noel is a great barleywine style spiced Christmas offering.

And there's always the other trappists (like Chimay, monk-made) - Rochefort and Orval are damn good.

$14 for a bottle of Chimay? damn. I pay $5 for the regular size bottle and $9 for the 22-oz bomber

another one I had recently that's worth trying: Samichlaus, austrian ale. 14 percent abv. about $6 for a bottle.

good beer ain't cheap. it's so easy to walk into a place with $100 and walk out with 20 or fewer bottles of beer.
