Alabama's standards are too high. no coach wants to go to Alabama. No job security.

 

we've lost it, no one wants to coach there. Thats why we are discussed nationwide. thats why the names that come up are people like saban and spurrier. Yep, Bama fans are fucked up and demanding. Wouldnt want it any other way.

 

You want the top coaches and the middle tier coaches turning down Alabama? It sounds like the NCSU basketball situation.

there's a difference between legitimate candidates and rumors started on fan message boards. I didn't see anything saying Saban and Spurrier were anything other than fan name dropping.

I've seen the samething with miami. Some people keep dropping names like Bob Stoops..wtf. Get real.

He came highly recommended off the Osborne squad at Nebraska, which says something. I didn't feel like his coaching here at Carolina was that great, Kevin Greene or not - not one OLB really ever came on while he was here. The only producers were veterans.

That he could be a good HC somewhere? maybe. FSU? That's a big-boy school. Having your D's respect is great, but that's not his D.

Jimbo Fisher's that guy. I don't know if he's "the guy" to replace Bowden, either, but how often has that worked out? I don't know if Andrews has it, but he's the only guy I'd trust with it right now. The only time I can honestly say one elite coach has been replaced by another winner is Walsh - Seifert, and GS had been there for almost a decade running half the team. The success rate on this type thing isn't very high at all - you almost need that Zook throwaway just so the team can move out of the shadow.
