    Harbaugh and Norvell BOTH taken out of the running...ISU to hire Brian Kelly of Central Michigan as thier new head coach. WTF are they thinking? A school like Iowa State needs name recognition in order to be able to recruit, nobody has even heard of this guy???

    By the way, McCarney would be a GREAT coach if he could get into an area that can attract recruits. I think he'd be good for Miami (FL), but I hope he doesn't end up coaching at THUG U!

    Our local media sucks and the CMU AD was quoted as saying he could not discuss Kelly's status for "about 24hrs" which is in line with ISU's scheduled press conference.
    Gene Chizik makes sense and would be a name that is well recognized. Going to Texas to interview Harbaugh and Norvell didn't seem to make alot of sense, but being down there for Chizie and having those guys come down as also rans...nice smoke screen.
