    Yeah, that's pretty dumb. And Beamer doesn't make much sense either, to me.

    Doesn't matter who Bama gets, in 3 years if the new coach hasn't won a NC or finished at least 10-2 and beaten Auburn 3 times they'll be howling for another HC. I hope Grobe passes on that madhouse.

    Yeah, that's why I think Beamer's not really a possibility. He's had too much success to want to get into all that down there.

    all these HC jobs opening up are making fsu's job tougher -- their pricetag just keeps going up. unless they promise jimbo the future HC job at fsu (which would piss off steele), he will go somewhere like nc state.

    i dont see it being beamer either. I think whoever it is, its a done deal and its pretty big. You just dont fire someone who was 10-3 last season, a former player and took over a complete clusterfuck like shula did. shula has the ground work laid for a great team next year. everyone knew this year would be the roughest because of sanctions. I cant imagine shula getting canned for someone like a wf, rutgers, navy hc. I think someone big wants the job and this was the only shot at getting him. that being said..its probably a nobody.

    the same source that found out shula was fired on nov 22nd has also said that fisher wants to be the oc at alabama. apparently fisher and miles dont get along too well.

    Heard the EXACT same thing about Fisher/Miles.

    Once again...why isn't Cutcliffe's name being tossed around?
