They just can't do it. They can't make themselves adjust to their strengths. They know one way and one way only. Why in the hell would you continue to race up and down the floor and jack up shots when you have the best big man in the country? Why?

It actually seemed like they were going slower last night than they normally do. I saw a lot more half-court sets and most of the time UNC puts up a shot around 10 seconds into the shot clock with Roy Williams.

Give Gonzaga some credit--Hansbrough's touches were limited--they were doubling him most of the night, and if they didn't double him, help was always nearby. Mark Few ain't a slack coach either.

You would know the answer if you actually watched the game. Gonzaga's defenses stiffled Carolina's half-court offense, Hansbrough included. Their best scoring chances came from running on the break, which is why they kept pushing the ball. Our jump-shooting percentage was pretty sorry.

Yeah, that tough Gonzaga D with the killer stiffle. I guess Hansborough has no chance of getting any touches against the soft ACC D. Might as well just run and gun.

When you shot 30 free throws a game you should win.

good call big mike. if i'm playing carolina (especially early this season, hell maybe any time), i'm taking Hansbrough out of the equation if i can and make them beat you some other way. "no brainer" and it worked this time around. like the guy said earlier, i'm glad they were tested by a quality program and coaching staff. it should only help them. they're still young across the board. lots to learn before they gel and few more losses to come.

um actually its a stupid question, because Hansbrough is a solid player in transition.
