If it happens, sure...but I don't think anyone but Michigan can beat OSU this year. USC and Notre Dame would have the best chance to be competitive, anybody else is a lame duck.

Michigan would beat Ohio State on a neutral field and I honestly believe that. They are a LOT better than I thought they were. OSU fumbled their way to the National title in 2002 and Florida kind of looks like that team. Modest offense with GREAT defensive players. Notre Dame is overrated as hell, but I hope to God they beat USC. Nothing pisses me off more (besides Charlie Weis) than Pete Carroll running and skipping down the sidelines every play like freakin Matt Doherty.

I'm hoping for that actually... since Cal couldn't beat them. I don't see florida beating Arkansas in the sec title game. They don't have the defense and their offense has been struggling (against defenses that aren't cupcakes).

As little a chance as beating ND and losing to UCLA is ARK needs USC to drop to even get a shot due to that horrible first game.

and what can I say, I'm a hog fan.

I don't know if you have watched much Ohio football this year or not but that wasn't their best performance either. I think it would be a good close game no matter where they played. Ohio State fans will go any where and pay about anything to support their team. Hell.......alumni paid to send the entire band to Texas at the start of the season.

I bet Michigan had something to do with that. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch but I won't be devastated if it doesn't happen.

We must have watched a different game. I never felt OSU was in danger of losing. Even with the bad snaps and turnovers, they still held a two score advantage for most of the game. OSU wins 8 of 10 on a nuetral field. They normally won't make those mistakes, and would usually win by double digits.

Agreed. Some people only think it was close because they didn't actually watch the game and just looked at the score. Ohio State dominated offensively, although their defense was disappointingly bad. It was not as close as the score suggested.

That said, I do think USC or West Virginia would have a reasonable chance of beating Ohio State on a neutral field.

I would be MORE than cool with the Hogs getting a shot...and they very well may even without assistance. They beat the over inflated Florida Gators and that could boost thier points enough to bump the winner of USC/Notre Dame.

The thing is, Michigan IS still #2 and I think USC is the only team that could bump them...but I think USC loses one of the next two. ND wouldn't bump Mich simply because of the how much ass the Wolverines handed to the Irish.
