nothing new. All that guy did is drop names of guys that have been talked about for weeks. Rodriquez and Petrino are going nowhere. Everyone's been saying that Rodriguez is waiting for FSU to open up.

Can't really take seriously a guy who thinks Gailey would be great at Alabama, considering he coaches at GT. Bill Curry anyone?

Bowden's not going anywhere. His buyout is still high, and he has a good recruiting class coming in. Not to mention that Clemson has done everything he's ever wanted.

thought the same thing, why would he leave there? He's trying to turn Clemson into what his Dad has at F$U (pre 2006), if he hasn't already.

most coaches have zero loyalty/liabilty to anyone. Most colleges have zero loyalty liability to coaches. Unless you have a coach that actually has some ties to a school, never say never. The days of bobby bowden and joe paterno are over.

Tommy Bowden doesnt owe a thing to clemson. buyout, recruiting, blah, blah, blah, if he is ready to go, he will go. Clemson was one half away from canning his ass a couple of years ago. Its a two way street.

Petrino was about as close to being the new coach at auburn without actually being the new coach, so dont say he is not going anywhere either. Want to bet he will leave if the nfl comes calling after this year?

Alabama is really close to canning a coach who played for them and took over a disaster just 4 years ago. He isnt a head coach, he is a band-aid. Time for the band aid to come off. Some will say, but he had 10 wins just last year. A monkey can can get 10 wins at alabama every four years. Shulas play calling is pathetic, game and clock management is worse than pathetic. If he gets to stay, he wont be calling plays anymore. that is a fact. On that note, Tommy Bowden's name hasnt come up one time. he isnt near as hot as he used to be. Chan Gailey, doubt it. Petrino, yep, he could end up at alabama just for the auburn shit a few years ago.

If only alabama hadnt said no to bobby bowden 20 + years ago.

Spurrier left UF where he won the heisman and a national chapionship. He was God in Gainesville. Do you really think he wouldnt leave usc tommorow if something caught his interest?

According to my best friend...who donates quite a bit...his father even more...Bowden's seat has heated up once again. This was THE year. They are losing a ton of people. Next year the battle @ QB will be between a true Freshman (while he has AMAZING stats, on his 2 TV appearances he was terrible) and Cullen Harper (he's yet to play in a college game).

By the way, Willie Korn will be a good QB in college...but even Bowden thinks Harper will get the nod next season.

Personally...I don't care if Bowden goes. I'd LOVE to see Richt leave Georgia.

His reason for leaving..."I've accomplished all I can here." He has stated multiple times that he has NOT accomplished what he set out to do @ USC. This Spurrier talk is silly. But if it entertains you guys...go ahead.
