How old is time?

    This makes my head hurt. According to most cosmologists the universe is approximately 13.7 billion years old. You start poking them with a stick about what was around before then and some say god which does not answer the question.

    you don't even need to dig very deep to confound yourself -- what's the biggest number?

    humans just tend to think of things as being linear -- first, second, third; right, middle, left; before, after.

    time isn't a thing, it's just an idea. it's just how we make sense of our surroundings.

    Most all cosmologists agree that a "force" outside of the bounds of both the universe and time acted to create both.

    I believe it's impossible for us to ever know for sure "how old time is". All we can do is guess.

    i realize you used quotations around the word force, but a force is defined as being related to time -- so any concept of a force that people might possess doesn't really apply to a timeless universe. cosmologists can agree on what might have happened, but can't actually describe anything in any way that doesn't include time. so they may as well be saying "something" happened and by "something" they don't mean an actual event in any way that anybody can comprehend.
