critical this week. Bruce, Curtis are powerful and Holt is lethal. Need - absolutely need - 3 healthy corners. I'd even be willing to use Branch near the LOS (or Branch in with minter up) instead of Anderson for a man-type matchup.

    BTW, we're 2nd best D on 3rd down, 29.3%. In fun irony, we're 5th worst on 4th down, 77.8%.

(if you were wondering, we're 17th overall, 13th passing, tied for 11th in INT, tied for 18th sacks, 16th rushing on D)

the rest of it doesn't seem right. This does. Not that we didn't invest in the run D, but we did in nickel - Lewis, Marshall, Anderson. That's worked out, for the most part.

The D has played well enough to win all year. They've had some quarters where they couldnt get the stop we needed, and some dissappointing plays. They haven't been great. But they've been better than average. I've seen the opposing punter alot. So while I'm surprised at the nice stat, I can believe it.

I'm starting to have nightmares seeing Stephen Jackson running through the line. IMO he is the most complete RB we have seen to date this year

Well, Lucas didn't practice today, and has been downgraded to questionable. Another injury, new, to his thigh this time. Morganitus? Fucker hurts something new evertime he plays, seems like.

Assuming that the pash rush is what it should be, I think we can "get by" without Lucas. Morton shouldn't be too much of a liability, and the Branch idea isn't too bad either. Just don't give up any cheap, big plays.

That said, if we don't take advantage of their line like we should, then watch the fuck out.

Keep in mind that you have to list someone as questionable if they miss a practice. It doesn't mean he'll miss the game.

That is almost three points higher than our conversion rate on offense.
