I guess for me even when you say he popped him under the chin with a closed fist it still doesn't seem like an issue after seeing it.

 

OK - its probably cause I'm a mom/female etc.....but I don't think any coach should ever hit any student. Luckily this time it appears to be non-serious and the student/parents aren't bothered by it but there will be a next time and then what? May not be Knight doing it.....but it will happen and how do you decide what is too hard to hit a kid? And then it will get into the "well its ok to hit them here....but you can't hit them here" etc. etc. etc.

If an adult can't coach a kid without hitting them then either the coach or the kid needs off the team.

 

he's not a kid, he's a 6'7" 20 year old adult

 

OK - so I guess I am still bug by what makes it acceptable then. If everyone is considered an adult in this situation then there shouldn't be any violence. Adults should be able to handle the situation like adults and not have to strike one or the other.

(btw.....I don't believe in the death penalty either)

you wont find in print where Dean hit someone, just like you probably wont see in print where Jordan beat the shit out of Steve Kerr and other players. That shit stays hush hush for a reason. Real men leave it out on the court/locker room and squash the shit.

do you think Dean is Jesus Christ? He made mistakes too, he had to learn alot after his first few years of coaching. Dean chain smoked and his wife divorced him, wonder why? Hmmm...do you even know Dean? Dean is one of my hero's because he admits his mistakes, and learns from them.

Read books man, they are good for you.

 

I don't think Knight should ever coach again. Not biased at all. Has nothing to do with the record.
