    Does this give Butch a shot at early recruiting? Instead of waiting until the end of the season.

    I'm happy about the change. I liked Bunting's love for the university but he just doesn't seem to have the HC thing down very well. Maybe he'll use it as a learning experience and succeed somewhere else (and I hope he does). If Davis just makes the Heels competitive on Saturday's I'll be more than satisfied. I see no reason why Carolina can't win 7+ games every year.

    I read somewhere that only a certain max # of coaches on staff can be available to officially recruit; & Davis would put them over the limit, so sounds like he'll have to wait til after the Dukie game when he officially starts. just what I read so I don't really know as a fact.

    I think that some coaches are just not cut out to be good HC's; but they make really top-notch asst's.
    I think Amato and Bunting and Roof are in the latter category.

    yep. Only 10 coaches are allowed to recruit at one time. Unless 1 of UNC's coaches is fired before season's end, Davis won't be able to. However the coaches that he retains will recruit hard. But hell its only 2 weeks until the season ends anyways.

    inking Davis During the regular season allows him some unofficial recuriting opportunities though.:xmassmile:
