    I agree, but from what I hear, the Board of Trustees, blame Baddour on hiring Bunting. He'll finish out his contract, but he's gone in 2 years himself. They also pretty much have stripped him of power in this coaching search. They choose the coach, and its his job to get him signed.

    how true is this? Turning down Lewis and Edwards would be disastrous. As well turnnig down Richt would be as stupid. Not talking much to Johnson, good enough, but damn.

    Chip was also right about them not returning Pete Carroll's phone call when hiring Bunting as well.

    wow. What a fucking idiot. Granted, not everybody thought Carroll was the greatest thing ever at that point (I did still believe he was a fine coach, but couldn't have figured they'd make 3 NCs in the same amount of time), but undeniably, Carroll, Marvin Lewis, Herm Edwards, and Mark Richt were all ridiculously qualified and a blessing to the program if accepted, and if they were all turned away, that guy's a fucking idiot. Good luck with that shit.

    so um, word on the miami boards is that butch is close to signing with UNC.

    congrats..and have fun when he leaves in 2-3 years.

    I'm guessing he knew miami wouldn't offer him the job, and MSU is looking elsewhere.
