    this may have been posted but i think that Davis may play the UNC card in order give him leverage in his quest for the Miami job. after all, he'll have a better shot at a national title, hell, a better shot at everything at Miami.

    i think we need to stake out a different field. just a gut feeling.

    Agree. Davis will be back at Miami or another high profile school. The UNC thing will help him make a little more $$$.

    Agreed. But from what Ihear Baddour isn't even picking the new coach. There is a board of Trustees and Chuck Neinas (sp?), football coach head hunter, to select the coach, and Baddour's job will be to get him under contract.

    FWIW... lately I've been sorta on the Jimbo Fisher bandwagon. Problem is until the others he hasn't been a head coach, and due to that he's a little less likely.

    What about someone like Sparky Woods? He was at App. State...then USC...now he's a coordinator somewhere.

    He's probably the best they can hope for...

    You're lucky we didn't get rid of Bunting two years ago, otherwise Spurrier would be here instead of there. Honestly, who actually chooses to live in Columbia? The capital of South Carolina is a bigger dump than any place in N.C.
