More disappointed. On the other hand, how bad is it for you to be happy about losing? :poopbanana:

I've always said that two things make me happy on Saturdays, Carolina winning or State losing. So yeah, I'm happy.

Vanderbilt hired Bobby Johnson out of I-AA Furman several years ago, though Johnson hasn't done alot there. I don't think I-AA coaches often translate into good I-A coaches. Johnson's shown some flashes, and turning around a program like Vanderbilt's is a huge task. Of course, part of his problem at Vandy has been expecting strong academic success out of his atheletes as is standard at Furman. That's cost him some talent at Vandy, and it's a whole lot more important in the SEC than the Southern Conf. Nevermind the fact that it's the SEC. Taking on the coaching job of a perenial cellar dweller in the SEC would've been career suicide for anyone with I-A experience, IMHO.

His overall record at Furman was 60-36, taking the team to the national playoffs multiple times, particularly to the championship game in 2001 (lost to Montana). His records at Vandy since going there: 2-9, 2-9, 2-9, 5-6, for an overall record of 11-33 prior to this season. So far this year, he's 3-4.

Yeah, that's part of the 3 wins. Like I've said, he's shown some flashes. I love the guy from his time at Furman...followed him since he got the Furman job in '94. He's a decent I-A coach, but nothing spectacular on that level.

Sure you do. I could care less whether Carolina wins if State wins on any given weekend. You have two teams to keep up with. That's almost as bad as suckitome.
