I personally have a hard time believing my daughter was born a sinner. Do you guys have any opinions on original sin?

Man was created in the image of God to walk and have fellowship with Him, placed in a perfect environment, and warned of the consequences of disobedience. Adam received God's words directly, and told Eve..who was deceived into believing God's word was a lie...that she surely would not die...Adam deliberately transgressed against God..and chose his own will over God's word.
The result was expulsion from Eden, separation from God, (a spiritual death) , and then disease, sickness and physical death.
So we are all sinners by nature being born into a fallen world.

It is indeed difficult to see the result of original sin in the life of an infant, but you will see it as she begins to voice her own choices over the will of her parents and God's will as she begins to make her own choices in life.

Personally, I don't put too much stock in it because it doesn't really matter at what point I committed my first sin. I'll commit more, and they are all gonna be forgiven as long as I ask.

Just curious how people who are such proponents of the idea get around the contradiction that Jesus was made man, but yet never sinned.

I don't believe that if a child isn't baptised at birth, they go to 'hell' or 'limbo' if they die. Can't be true.

God's word says that it is sin.

    Taken from Romans 1:28-32
28 And just as they did not see fit to F20 acknowledge God any longer, God R50 gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; {they are} gossips, R51 30 slanderers, haters F21 R52 of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient R53 to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, R54 unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, R55 they not only do the same, but also give R56 hearty approval to those who practice them.

What if the parents are telling them to do something that's a sin?

I agree with you and do not believe that either.

Mt 18:14 - Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Infants had nothing to do with the fact that they were heirs of Adam's sinful nature. Therefore, it stands to reason that they can be given the gift of salvation without having consciously accepted it. Only rejection of Christ's love on their behalf -- something that cannot occur until they reach the age that conscious sin is possible -- can result in their loss of Christ's gift.

The parents will be held accountable, and not the child..unless the child understands "conscious sin".

But my point was that it's kinda one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't scenarios.

I really do not think that God is saying that anytime you do not do exactly what your parents say that you have committed a sin.
