You will be, which might make the fact that your not Catholic and Baptised yourself a problem in the eyes of some churchs.

I know my brother had some issues with his baby out of wedlock.

Guess it depends where your at.

I meant that you will be asked questions from the Book of Common Prayer during the service like "do you promise to help this child lead a life with God" or whatever the exact question is.

Edit - I have also been a member of my church since I was baprtized there, so maybe my experience is a little different in any regard.

From what I know, you don;t need special classes before having your \daughter baptyzed. You just need to arrange that all with the padre, and it goes.

Don't have to take the class cause the Catholic church deems me not worthy!! I'm not catholic.

Yeah, i got that. What i meant was not being a Catholic some churchs wont let you get your child babtised there until you convert or some bullshit.

My brother had a hell of a problem trying to get a service done with his child.

Why would you want to baptize your child in the Catholic church (or any church, for that matter) if you weren't Catholic (or whatever)?

Hockey, VP is correct. My wife is Catholic and I'm pretty much a go along kinda guy. The baptism is the big event over the holidays down in Peru this year. It's all cool with me. If our daughter wants to be something else later in life, that's fine with me also.

Not that Protestants aren't big on Baptism, but Catholics are probably a lot more reverent about it, considering their doctrine dictates that baptism is essential for salvation, even for infants.
