but going 1-13 in the playoffs is awesome, getting hits when you're expected to hit is whats more important. Striking out while looking twice in the post season with the bases loaded is what you want from your "rbi machine". Playing out of position or not, he made way too many errors. Drop most of the pitching staff, drop A Rod, Giambi and start over.

No question he's been terrible in the playoffs for New York, but that's not unusual for sluggers, and it's almost as if people forget he was brilliant in the playoffs for Seattle. As I said, dumping your best offensive performer (even in a "down year") when several players are making more money than he is would be crazy. Trading A-Rod would be the dumbest thing the Yankees could do, and because I'm an Orioles fan, I'd love to see them do it.

Sort of, but not really. I like who I like. I guess it would bother me more if I was open to changing favorites, but I'm not.

shit, I know its hard for me. I will always be a Dodger fan, but winning 1 playoff game since 1988 is tough. Of course, we picked up the curse this year. Bringing in Betimet, Maddux, Furcal, with Drew and Lofton all old Braves, they brought the "can't win in the playoffs" curse with them.

Somebody just needs to go ahead and whack Angelos for what he has done to what used to be one of the greatest organizations in baseball.

Weren't a lot of the moves in the pitching staff forced from Tampa? I thought that Cashman was trying to get the Yankees out of the business of buying mercenaries and back to growing their own talent (even though they are going to basically buy the best prospects on the world market).

Angelos can be an ass, but other than being too impatient with the managers and front office, I don't think he's been that bad. I'd rather have a Steinbrenner-type who spends a crap load of money and is pissed when they don't win than a guy who penny pinches and doesn't care.
