Bag worms

What is the best way to get rid of these before they completely strip a tree? We had to cut 2 small lelands that kind of screened our pool pump from the pool because they were stripped within 3 days. Now they are on a cypress bush on the other side of the house. We really don't want to lose it to. Our house is on the market and the last thing we want anyone to see is a dying bush.

I hate to kill them though......they are so cute.

 

Lightly wet the tree,then apply Sevin Dust.

The boys picked 300 of them off of the bush, and we burned them in the fire pit yesterday. Very strange smell, and they gave the smores an unusual taste.

 

We lost a couple of nice bushes at the factory last year with these things. The guy that takes care of the yard told me if I noticed them again to let him know immediately and he'd spray for them. He never said with what.........but there must be something out there. (yeah I know - that wasn't much help)

 

i think i got these one time from one of my roomates sister...
